ADULT SOCIAL EVENTS

There are several events held throughout the school year to give the parents of the school an opportunity to socialize and mingle. Usually there is one general event such as a Trivia Night, Comedy Sportz, or a Brewers game. In addition to this general event there is an annual holiday bus shopping trip to Chicago. Finally, there are usually two informational meetings within the school year. These meetings address timely topics or concerns of parents, such as understanding Common Core or tips for the flu and cold season.

SHARE OUR FAITH DAY

Students choose a special person or people to invite to mass and, afterward, an open house throughout the school. Students and their guests can enjoy treats made especially for that day, and then students can show their special guests their classroom and all the other places in the school where they spend their day.

BUDDY PROGRAM

The older students of the school buddy up with the younger students. Throughout the school year the buddies typically attend a field trip together, make gifts for one another, meet up in the classroom for activities, and sit together at every school mass.

FAMILY FRIENDLY CLUB

The Family Friendly Club is organized by the Home and School Organization to welcome new families to the Holy Apostle Community. Each new family is matched with an existing school family in order to ease any anxiety and answer any questions. Our existing families stay in contact with new families throughout the year and touch base as events approach.

HIGH INTEREST DAY

For one day every year volunteers from the school, parish and community share their unique talents, interests and hobbies with the students of Holy Apostles. Some of the offerings include cooking, arts & crafts, model building, woodworking, robotics, science, and sports. Students prioritize their choices and then on High Interest Day they are given five of them. They start the day celebrating mass and then move from class to class.
