Welcome Back to School

Dear Holy Apostles Parents and Guardians,

Welcome to the new school year! I’m delighted to welcome all our students and families—both those returning and those joining us for the first time—to the Holy Apostles community. We look forward to another exciting year filled with growth, learning, and spiritual enrichment.
We are also thrilled to welcome several new members to our dedicated team of educators! We’re confident they will uphold our mission of nurturing critical thinking, creativity, and a lifelong love of learning.
Our mission is to educate the whole child- mind, body, and soul. We are committed to nurturing values such as compassion, respect, and service in our students. Through daily prayer, religious education, and participation in the sacraments, we work to strengthen our connection with God. Each year, our incoming 8th grade class selects a theme that reflects and guides our spiritual journey throughout the school year. This year, the Class of 2026 chose: "Your word is a lamp for my feet, a light for my path”- Psalm 119:105. I look forward to integrating this theme into our daily prayer, meditation, and service offerings this year.
At Holy Apostles, we believe that strong partnerships between home and school are essential to student success. Parental involvement plays a vital role in building a thriving school community. We warmly encourage you to stay engaged by participating in school events, volunteering your time, and joining us for our weekly Wednesday Mass at 8:30 a.m.
Another important way to stay connected is by reading our weekly newsletter, The Messenger, where you’ll find updates, reminders, and highlights from around the school. Together, we can create a supportive and enriching environment where every student has the opportunity to flourish.
Please mark your calendars for a few upcoming events that are quickly approaching:
On Monday, August 25th from 2 p.m. to 7 p.m. or Tuesday, August 26th from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. we have scheduled a teacher meet and greet, supply drop off, and student pictures day(s). A link to a SignUpGenius will be sent in early August. There is also a separate “Parent in the Classroom Night” scheduled for Wednesday, September 10th. We will be sending you more information soon about this parent-only event. These events will provide you with an opportunity to meet your child's teachers, learn about the curriculum, and get involved in various school activities.
We are truly grateful for your continued trust and partnership in providing your children with an exceptional Catholic education. We look forward to a year filled with growth, success, and joy as we journey together as a faith-filled community.
May God bless you and your family in this new year.
Sincerely,
Mrs. Lori Suarez
Principal

Safeguarding
Thank You to Our Amazing Parent and Family Volunteers!
At Holy Apostles School, we are blessed with the support of dedicated parents and family members whose time and talents help make our school, students, and community thrive. Your involvement is a vital part of our continued success!

The safety and well-being of our students are a top priority for both the school and parish. To uphold this commitment, Holy Apostles follows the Archdiocese of Milwaukee’s safeguarding policies. All staff and volunteers are required to complete and maintain Safeguard Certification in order to work or volunteer with children and youth.

This certification is required for anyone who wishes to:
-
Volunteer in the classroom
-
Attend field trips
-
Coach teams
-
Participate in other student-related activities

As a parent or guardian, we know you value opportunities to be involved in your child’s school life. Completing the Safeguarding Program ensures you can participate fully while supporting a safe and nurturing environment for all students.

New to School – Welcome
All the information needed to register and begin the process for safeguarding is located via the Archdiocese of Milwaukee Safe Environment page. The initial training requires in-person training, which is available throughout the Diocese. Safeguarding is MANDATORY for all volunteers in the school.
Renewals if expired
Safeguard certification expires every five (5) years from the date of your last met requirement. 60 days prior to your expiration date, you will receive an automated email communication from CMG Connect. At the time you are due for the 5-year renewal of your certification, and if you wish to maintain your certification, you will need to complete the following steps by logging on to CMG Connect.
-
Chose Renewal Safe Environment for Clergy, Employees, and Volunteers (red box) under the Required Trainings.
-
Click START (green box) to complete the curriculum.
-
Complete ALL the curriculum sections (estimated completion time is one hour).
-
The last screen will indicate successful completion of the online portion of the curriculum; the background check will still be in process. Your certification is not completed until the background check has finished processing and is reviewed.
-
All Parents, Employees and Volunteers must have an account in the CMG Safeguarding program and maintain that account regularly. This is for the safety of our Holy Apostles Community!
Thank you for making the commitment to support our efforts to Safeguard All of God’s Family. We are grateful for your support of our school, teachers and children as well as your time and talents that you share. We look forward to another exciting school year of spiritual and educational growth and success.
