What is the Home and School Association?
Home & School is a 100% volunteer organization composed of Holy Apostles parents.
 
Home & School strives to:
  • Foster communication between parents, educators, staff and the community
  • Support the spiritual and educational mission of the home and of the school
  • Provide programs and activities of interest to parents and students
  • Encourage high standards of family life
  • Create a great appreciation of and promote the advancement of Catholic education
  • Conduct fundraising projects to financially assist phases of the educational process where needed

 

Events Home & School Funded and Supported in 2015-2016

  • Project Lead the Way: Help subsidize the costs associated with implementation across all grades
  • Classroom Grants/”Wish List” Items: Donation of monies raised through Home & School events to teachers and the school; provide for classroom items and materials not covered in school budgets
  • First Stage: Subsidize the cost of off-site and on-site First Stage performances for students
  • 8th Grade Award Recipient prizes, Retreat and Brunch
  • Birthday Table: Monthly cake & decorations for student birthdays
  • Educational Enrichment: Special presentations for parents and students such as Jody Blanco bullying presentation and St. Patrick’s Day Irish Dance performance

VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITIES

Getting involved in our school makes for a richer experience and unites parents in a common goal.  We understand that everyone has numerous commitments and time constraints, but what better way to show our children the importance of service to others than for parent to model the behavior themselves.
