There are two self-contained classrooms per grade level in grades 5K-5. In these grades, classroom teachers lead instruction in the core academic subjects, including our Project Lead the Way Launch program, integrated into our science curriculum. In addition, students are taught by specialists throughout the week in Spanish, music, physical education, art and technology. The curriculum is designed to prepare students for the more rigorous demands of middle school, and we use standardized test score results to demonstrate the high quality of our instruction.
There are numerous faith formation opportunities woven throughout the year. In addition to religious instruction in the classroom, each grade has an opportunity to plan all-school liturgies throughout the year. Our parish priests also make frequent classroom visits, and can even been found on recess duty.
Students in fourth and fifth grades are paired with 4K and 5K buddies for activities and events throughout the year as a way to build leadership and community. There are also numerous extracurricular opportunities, such as scouting and chess club, that are available for elementary-aged students; organized athletics opportunities begin in fifth grade
